OUR STORY

Our founders, Alan Eustace and Ed Corkery, long-term friends and business partners, came from what were once considered distinctly different industries. 

Since 2008, Ed had been immersed in another self-starter venture. He was deeply involved in e-commerce long before it became a retail cornerstone. Alan, on the other hand, built a robust career in distribution from 2002 to 2017. These years were spent curating a wealth of industry knowledge, skills, and connections. 

In 2017, disaster struck for Alan when he was made redundant. Anyone who has experienced the fear and uncertainty of redundancy knows it’s both crippling and paralysing. Alan's situation was compounded by his wife also being laid off from the same company. 

With three young kids, a mortgage, and no steady income, Alan joined forces with Ed, who was seeking the next step in his personal and professional growth. Together, they conceived an idea that would revolutionise their lives. As Ed put it, “In that moment, everything became an opportunity and failure wasn’t an option.” 

And so, TBM Solution was born. 

During his years in e-commerce, Ed had recognised the growing need to intertwine logistics with the online world. Although giants like Amazon and eBay had been doing this successfully, the pair saw that new and growing brands lacked control over their brand identity and destiny with these marketplaces. 

They understood that online retail is perpetual and that emerging brands needed consistency, support, and a 7-day service. Their combined expertise in logistics and e-commerce fuelled their passion and drive to deliver unparalleled service. 

From their inception with just four staff members, to their expansion in the UK supported by the incredible Welch Group, now provides operational excellence across the UK and EU. 

Founded in partnership, it’s no surprise that collaboration and accountability are at the core of what we do. Our aim is to continue growing alongside our current clients while fostering the success of new ones, We aspire to become a household name in our industry, delivering the experience to our clients and their customers for many, many years to come.
